Most energy and environmental matters are devolved issues and, as such, are the responsibility of the Scottish Parliament/Government, Welsh Parliament/Government and Northern Ireland Assembly/Executive.
To ensure the delivery of the Bill is working in tandem with devolved nations and with existing laws, plans and strategies, we are consulting with organisations across the four nations to ensure that the Bill recognises the need for holistic solutions, while respecting the legislative competence of devolved administrations.
